HandyMan and I took the morning off from kitchen reno duty and went to Kimberley Seldon's Designer Market down at the Distillery District. I love going down to the Distillery...its a 13-acre site downtown filled with historic Victorian buildings, cafes, galleries, and quaint cobblestone streets. Plus, the bakery there serves the yummiest chicken pot pies - perfect for a cool rainy day like today.
The Market was focused on antiques and some crafts, not entirely my taste, but I heard there were some bargain Robert Allen fabrics on sale. There were - though the early birds got the best bolts! It wasn't a total loss though because HandyMan and I got to talk to Kimberley herself and thank her for mentioning our book in one of her columns for Style At Home magazine. Kimberley is an accomplished designer, known for her warm traditional designs and her design tours to Paris. Have a look at some of her beautiful interiors.
