City Budget 2010-11: Closing of Mill Ridge Intermediate School questioned

In regards to the proposed cuts to the education budget, there is much concern surrounding the closing of the Mill Ridge Intermediate School. In particular, many teachers are upset that they were not invited to be part of the discussion on the closing of the school. Others question why there weren't any teachers on the committee that made the final determination to close the school.

During a recent meeting of the Board of Education, during his analysis of the school closing, Assistant Superintendent Robert Dylewski was questioned by Democratic Board of Education member Kathleen Molinaro about the lack of teachers on the committee that determined to close the school.

Here's video of the exchange.
