This is a joke right?
"I've always been against illegal immigration," he said. "We certainly welcome immigrants into our community. We're proud of our multicultural past, present and future."
This comes from the guy who:
- lied about the the city's role in the Danbury 11 case,
- Attack media outlets who told the truth about the ICE ACCESS program,
- Sent his goons on the city council to de-fund the Hispanic Center and threaten The Association of Religious Communities over their opposition of ICE ACCESS,
- Defended City Clerk Jean Natale as fellow Republican Jane Diggs correctly criticized the incompetent moron over her role in the Hispanic Center de-funding matter,
- Defended Jean Natale again as a photo was published that clearly showed the city clerk standing next to a racist skinhead who held sign that displayed "DEPORT EVERYONE, SPEAK ENGLISH OR DIE"
- Publicly embraced the leader of the local anti-immigrant hate group, and spoke at their rally,
- Couldn't get his facts straight when confronted on live television about using the World Cup celebrations as a justification for his parade ordinance legislation,
- Ran away from the media during the initial moments after news of racist emails from council Republican majority leader Pauline Basso and Planning Commissioner Joel Urice were made public,
- Refused to ask Urice to step down as member of the Planning Commission...even after Urice refuse to apologize for his role in the racist email matter (and attacked those who leaked his disgusting behavior to the public).
...etc, etc, etc. I could go on forever but I think you get the point.
